It all started in 1990, when a group of 12 partners, Romanian citizens, founded ELMAS, a company with 100% Romanian private capital.
Today, ELMAS is a leader in the field of lifting equipment in Romania, offering access to quality products and services, in great demand among the customers in this market.
As partnerships and business lines were created, the vision, values and personality of the future ELMAS brand have emerged. Seated in Brașov - Romania, boasting a network of 12 own branches, 400 employees, production/storage/service facilities and a turnover of over EUR 38 million in 2022, the company is constantly developing, being aligned with modern technologies.

Production / storage / service facilities
Following the investments made, we have production facilities that incorporate modern technologies for the manufacture of highly complex lifting equipment, applicable in multiple industries.
Our storage spaces are adapted to our industrial profile and ensure an optimal flow of raw materials and spare parts necessary for the proper conduct of the manufacturing, delivery, installation and service operations.
Our dedicated service fleet and specialised technical personnel enable us to offer our customers high efficiency and quality services.
Environmental protection
The protection of the environment and the quality of life are a constant concern for us, and we have implemented an environmental management system compliant with SR EN ISO 14001:2015.
In order to provide the green electricity necessary for the production process, we have installed photovoltaic panels on the roof of the production hall located in Brașov, with a total area of 5,000 square meters, which produce 300 kW/hour when the conditions are optimal.
Development - innovation
Our activity is supplemented by our Development and Innovation Centre, the main purpose of which is the design and development of technologies and products directly applicable in the field of lifting equipment and closely linked to the concept Industry 4.0.
Our RENAR accredited Testing Laboratory for non-destructive, spectrochemical and metallographic tests operates within the Development and Innovation Centre.
